This sequence of songs includes early Christian hymns, ancient Hungarian folk prayers and psalms, singing about the struggle between darkness and light, sunrise, resurrection and the hope of eternal life. Contemporary chamber music set to the hymns of Saint Ambrose of Milan, Prudentius, an unnamed Platonic poet, and the psalms of King Hezekiah and King David.
